Lindy grew up in the West Kootenay’s. She is of english, dutch and scottish ancestry. In 2002 she completed her Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate through Selkirk College and later completed her practicum through Capilano College. Standing out as an intuitive, creative and gifted educator of young children, she has worked as an ECE from 2002 – present. In 2014 she began formally studying the healing arts and has since been facilitating individuals in their healing with clients mainly in Langley — but also throughout BC.
In 2008 – 2014 she ran an outdoor childcare program from her home in Burnaby but with the arts calling her, she took a break and enrolled herself into a graphic design program. She achieved formal training in the fundamentals of art and design as well as advanced certification on industry standard Adobe programs.
Shortly after art school, and upon returning to her work with children, she found a gifted piano teacher with whom she studied for four years. Lindy completed three levels of music theory (Honours with Distinction) and grade 6 piano (Honours) through the Royal Conservatory of Music. She continued to study up to the grade 8 level.
As she continues her work with children and families, many domains of creativity are now finding their way into her healing arts practice and her professional work. Her offerings vary throughout the year and may consist of:
